Pure form, no apology. The Hourglass Lacquer Side Table is a single continuous sculptural object — a stacked organic silhouette that moves from a wide shallow concave disc top, pinches at the waist, swells into a middle saucer-shaped bulge, and settles into a broad flat circular base.

Finished throughout in a deep glossy burgundy red lacquer that catches light with an almost liquid quality, the piece functions as much as a sculptural accent as it does a surface. Place it beside an armchair, at the end of a sofa, or alone in a corner where it can be properly admired.
